Meet Dr. Pereyra

Greetings! ​I'm honored and grateful about the possibility of working together with you to provide you with the opportunity to obtain the highest overall health possible. Research has proven that your oral health is vital to your overall health. It is our goal to ensure your quality of life does not change due to oral unhealthiness, so you can enjoy the better things in life, for a longer period of time. As a patient of Honest Tooth Family Dentistry, you are part of our family.

Any treatment that is recommended is a treatment that I would do for myself and I always ask myself this question: "Is this the treatment that I would want for myself?" I make every effort possible to anticipate any issues that may cause unhealthiness and will discuss this with you. I also like to discuss all pros and cons of any recommended treatment, so that you can always make an informed decision on what is best for you.

A little about me: I’m from Abiquiu, New Mexico. After graduating high school, I enlisted in the United States Navy working as a Dental Assistant. I had the wonderful opportunity to spend five memorable years in the Navy. I was able to live in Japan, San Diego, CA, and Bremerton, WA. I had the opportunity to visit, Thailand, South Korea, Malaysia, Australia, Canada, and Hawaii. It was during my time in the Navy that I also realized I had a passion for Dentistry. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, I decided to pursue my dream of becoming a Dentist. I attended The University of New Mexico and graduated with a degree in biology. During the year between graduating from UNM and attending dental school, I worked at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in the Theoretical Biology Department and continued my education at The University of Phoenix. I earned the degree of Master of Business Administration before leaving for Kansas City to attend dental school. Upon graduating from The University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry we moved back to our home, the beautiful Land of Enchantment. I quickly made the decision to enhance my knowledge and skillset by pursuing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program at The University of New Mexico- School of Medicine. I have learned advanced techniques in all aspects of Dentistry while at the AEGD program. I have accumulated a total of 10 years in the dental field.

While pursuing a degree in Biology at UNM, I met up with my long-lost first love, Nicole. We dated while in high school and went our separate ways after graduating from high school. We quickly fell in love the second time around and the rest is history. We have two beautiful daughters, Alexia and Feliciana who really enjoy spending time with their little puppy Jax. We look forward to getting to know you in the coming years.
